The guildford.games Awards 2024: Submissions Now Open!
It’s that time of year again – the guildford.games Awards are officially open for submissions! Whether you're a developer, part of a studio, or a fan of the incredible games that are made right here in Guildford, this is your chance to get involved and celebrate the best of what our community has to offer!
This year, we’ve got an awesome lineup of awards that recognise the amazing talent, creativity, and teamwork that make Guildford such a special place for game development:
- Outstanding Studio Culture Award: Shout out to the studios that create supportive, inclusive, and inspiring work environments!
- Rising Star Award: Do you know someone new to the scene who’s absolutely killing it? Nominate them and let’s celebrate their creativity and potential.
- Hard-Mode Hero Award: For those who didn’t take the easy path – this award goes to the individual or team who faced down the toughest challenges, pushed through the hardest difficulties, and still came out swinging with something remarkable. If you know someone who thrives in hard mode, this is their time to shine! 💪
- Education Award: Recognising initiatives or individuals helping to nurture the next generation of game developers. Teachers, mentors, and programs that are making a difference, this is your moment!
- Collaboration Award: Highlighting teams and studios that have truly nailed the art of working together – because let’s face it, teamwork makes the dream work!
- Creative Award: Whether it’s jaw-dropping art, storytelling, or design, this award is all about celebrating those who push creative boundaries and deliver something truly special.
- Nick Ferguson Unsung Hero Award: Honouring those who, like Nick - a much missed friend and colleague - make a huge impact behind the scenes. One for the unsung heroes of the Guildford game dev community.
- Players' Choice Award: A game launched between November 2023 and now that’s made right here in Guildford. We want to highlight the global connection to Guildford-made games with this award. You don't need to be a developer or connected to the industry, nor Guildford, for this one – vote for the game that stole your heart! ❤️
